About Khandua
Khandua is an ikat silk woven in Nuapatna and Maniabandha in Cuttack district, Odisha, and it is GI-tagged. It was traditionally woven for Lord Jagannath of Puri and is also called Khandua patta. Because Khandua is woven on a hand-operated loom, small irregularities in weave or colour are a natural sign of handwork, not a defect.
Care
Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture, and refold it every few months. Do not spray perfume directly on the silk. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
