A handwoven green and blue Pochampally ikat saree in pure silk from Telangana, with a traditional ikat pattern in two cool, related shades. The palette is calm and easy to wear, so it suits family functions, festivals and evening gatherings. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece.

Design details

  • Colours: Vibrant green and blue.
  • Pattern: A signature Pochampally ikat pattern.
  • Fabric: Pure silk, handwoven.
  • Handloom: Hand ikat leaves a slightly blurred edge on each motif, and small variations in weave or colour are a natural sign of handwork, not a defect.
  • Blouse: Comes with an unstitched blouse piece.

Occasions and styling

Wear it to family functions, festivals or a dinner with friends. A contrast blouse in mustard or deep pink and a gold coin necklace will lift the cool colours. Pleat the pallu neatly so the ikat pattern shows across the shoulder.

About Pochampally Ikat

Pochampally Ikat is a GI-tagged weave from Bhoodan Pochampally and nearby villages in Telangana. The yarns are resist-dyed in sections before weaving, so the pattern appears as the cloth is woven. The slightly blurred edge on each motif is a mark of hand ikat.

Care

Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture, and refold it every few months. Do not spray perfume directly on the silk. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
