About Raw Silk
Raw silk is not fully degummed, which leaves the fibre with its natural texture, gentle slubs and a soft matte sheen. The slight crispness helps pleats sit flat and sharp. On a handloom, small irregularities in weave or colour are a natural sign of handwork, not a defect.
Care
Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture, and refold it every few months. Do not spray perfume directly on the silk. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
