About Pochampally Ikat
Pochampally Ikat comes from Bhoodan Pochampally and the villages around it in Telangana, and it is a GI-tagged weave. Ikat is a tie-and-dye technique where sections of yarn are resist-dyed before they go on the loom. The soft, slightly blurred outline of each motif is a sign of hand ikat work.
Care
Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture. Refold it every few months so the zari does not crack along the folds. Do not spray perfume directly on silk or zari. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
