The checks and buttas give it a neat look for festivals and family functions. A pink blouse with gold temple earrings brings out the border.

About Uppada Silk

Uppada sarees come from Uppada in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh, and are GI-tagged as Uppada Jamdani. They are woven in lightweight silk using the jamdani technique, where motifs are added by hand during weaving. Uppada is known for being light yet zari-rich.

Care

Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture. Refold it every few months so the zari does not crack along the folds. Do not spray perfume directly on the silk or zari. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
