About Khandua
Khandua, also called Khandua patta, is a GI-tagged ikat silk from Nuapatna and Maniabandha in Cuttack district, Odisha. It was traditionally woven for Lord Jagannath of Puri. Its motifs include elephants, lions, kumbha (temple), flowers and lines from the Gita Govinda.
Care
Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture. Refold it every few months so it does not crack along the folds, and do not spray perfume directly on the silk. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
