About Khandua silk
Also called Khandua patta, this GI-tagged ikat silk is woven in Nuapatna and Maniabandha in Odisha's Cuttack district. It was traditionally woven for Lord Jagannath of Puri. Elephants, lions, kumbha temple shapes and flowers are among its classic motifs.
Care
Dry clean only. Store the saree wrapped in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, away from moisture. Refold it every few months so the zari does not crack along the folds. Do not spray perfume directly on silk or zari. Iron on low heat with a cloth in between.
