A forest green and red Nuapatna handloom cotton saree from Odisha. The green body is covered in an all-over ikat lattice of leaf shapes in white, orange and red. The deep maroon-red pallu carries rows of ikat flower medallions in orange and white, and a red border with woven stripes and a small motif band runs along the edges. It suits office wear, daytime functions, festivals and cultural events.

About Nuapatna ikat
Nuapatna in Cuttack district, Odisha, is one of the state's best-known ikat weaving centres and the home of Khandua silk. Its weavers use the bandha tie-and-dye technique, in which the yarns are resist-dyed in sections before weaving, so the pattern appears as the cloth is woven. Nuapatna cotton sarees carry the same motifs in an everyday fabric.
Care
Dry clean for the first wash. After that, hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not soak for long or wring tightly. Dry in the shade to protect the colours, and iron on medium heat on the reverse side.
